VOTING IN MONTANA - FAQ'S

    NOTICE- CHANGE IN CLOSE OF VOTER REGISTRATION

Due to a recent change in Montana Law (HB176), late registration for elections will close at 12PM (noon) the day before an election. 

Questions regarding late registration and voting in the upcoming elections can be directed to the Park County Election office at

• This office annually prepares for and conducts State & County Elections as well as
  Municipal & Special District Elections held under Title 13 and Title 7 of the Montana Code Annotated.
• In addition to elections, the staff maintains voter registration records for approximately

ELECTION TYPE & DATE

School & Special District Elections:   First Tuesday after the first Monday in May, each year.

State & County Primary:   First Tuesday after first Monday in June, even years.
State & County General:   First Tuesday after first Monday in November, even years.

Municipal Primary:   First Tuesday after second Monday in September, odd years.
Municipal General:   First Tuesday after first Monday in November, odd years.
